Nivalis - A desert dessert- Ice from compressed air - FEATURED IN TIME MAGAZINE SEPTEMBER 12, 2005

The importance of refrigeration is fundamental to meet the United Nations Millennium development goals, especially for the billions of the world's poor living in the tropics. dissigno has devised a plan for remote rural refrigeration. The strategy has two fundamental channels: product & promotion. The product is an innovative cooler that runs on compressed air, generated through green energy, through a parallel staged vortex cooler. The benefit of few moving parts, simple maintenance, & no environmental impact is worth the admittedly inefficient design. The promotion is a flexible plan of capital micro financing for owners to either sell the ice as a commodity or a service arrangement in local marketplaces. The second step is then to begin manufacturing the product components in the communities of use to lower costs as well as create additional markets for selling the ice. This dissigno venture is for profit founded in the philosophy that a product must make money to ultimately be sustainable.

dissigno is currently seeking partnerships or alliances for the prototype deployment of the Nivalis device. For more information, please contact us for a one-page proposal. (info@dissigno.com)
